Mindful Nature Guides is owned by Jill Robinson, a certified Mindful Outdoor Guide. Nature immersions are one to three-hour guided walks that include sensory meditation, breathing practices, flowing movements from QiGong and Tai Chi, light hiking, and local natural history.
Jill Robinson has more than 20 years of experience in ecology, environmental planning, and sustainability. After studying communication and economics at American University and earning her law degree at Ohio State University, Jill returned to Ohio State to complete a Ph.D. in Human Dimensions of Ecosystem Change, with a minor in Ecosystem Science. After working as a lawyer, teacher, and environmental planner, Robinson began training to become a certified Mindful Outdoor Guide through The School of Mindful Outdoor Leadership at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. She completed her training and became a certified Mindful Outdoor Guide in 2018. She continues to train with the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy in California.
Robinson became a guide after realizing that the reciprocal relationship between people and the land is the foundation for caring for the land, and that this relationship begins with spending mindful time in nature.
In addition to guiding, Jill is also a certified Wilderness First Responder, a certified QiGong Community Practice Leader, and a Baptiste Yoga Certified Instructor. She has hiked 26 of New Hampshire’s 4000 footers in the White Mountains, and is an avid mountain biker, paddle boarder, and hiker in Southern California.
